HARTFORD- The mother of a dead Connecticut teenager arrested for cruelty will now face an additional charge.

According to a report at Courant.com, Katiria Tirado, 33, who was arrested in February after her malnourished autistic son Matthew died in a hospital, will be served a warrant today for first-degree murder.

The report states that she had been investigated for neglect, abuse and education negligence since he was in the first grade but the state's Department of Children and Families had closed their case in January.

Matthew had weighed about 85 pounds when he died on February 14.
