New Boston Celtics look to help improve on team's 40-42 record last season

BOSTON Mass. – The Boston Celtics kicked their season off on Wednesday.

There has been a lot of hype surrounding this team after their surprise playoff appearance last season.

In 2014, the team went 40 and 42 and ended the season in the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference.

During the offseason the team has added versatile power forward, Amir Johnson to a two-year $24 million contract.

The Celtics also traded for veteran power forward David Lee.

Lee, coming off a championship with the Golden State Warriors, has added much needed leadership to the very young team.

The Celtics top to bottom have players that can score at will, they have 10 players that have averaged more than 10 points in a season.

NBA play-by-play announcer, Ian Eagle, thinks the Celtics have a shot at making the 6th seed in the Conference.

ESPN Knicks reporter, Ian Begley, agrees with Eagle.

“Boston is definitely a playoff team,” said Begley.

The team also has players that can defend multiple positions and defend at an elite level: Marcus Smart, Avery Bradley and Johnson.

So, where will the Boston Celtics end their 2016 season? In the playoffs, the conference finals or end in the regular season?
