Neighbors in Manchester relieved over Matthew Dion's capture

MANCHESTER - Neighbors on Moorseville Road in Manchester say they will never forget March 24, 2014.

It's the day Robert and Connie Dion's house exploded. Their bodies were later found inside.

The Dions' adult son Matthew is charged with their murders, along with arson and possession of child pornography.

He was on the run until US Marshals captured him in Orange Park, Fla., Wednesday morning.

Tim McGuire lives next door and was friends with Bob and Connie. He said he used to go to Fisher Cats games with them.

"They were nice people, quiet," he said. "They did everything they could for (Matthew). He's adopted. The mother worshiped the ground he walked on. He was strange."

Heather McAllister, mother of nine, lives on the other side of the Dion home.

She sais she didn't know them but remembers seeing a car in the driveway moments before the fire broke out.

Then once she saw the flames, the car was gone.

Though she never feared Dion would return to the neighborhood, she's relieved he's been captured.
