Neighbors concerned over drug lab found in Manchester neighborhood

MANCHESTER- Residents on Lake Avenue in Manchester are concerned to learn a drug lab was operating out of an apartment on their street.

Police were called to 336 Lake Avenue just after 8am Monday. Officers found evidence of a drug lab and arrested 40-year old Derek Russell for manufacturing a drug known as DMT, a psychedelic drug similar to LSD.

According to police, Russell does not live in the building, he was only a guest. Three young children who live in that apartment were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Some neighbors want to move out of the area but say it all comes down to what they're able to afford.

Russell faces multiple drug charges. He's due in court Tuesday morning.
