Murder with a Side of Cannibalism: Woman May Have Served Ex to Barbecue Guests
A new documentary on Investigation Discovery tells the story of a jealous husband and a serial killer wife who may have served her ex-lovers remains at a neighborhood barbecue.
Kelly Cochran is currently serving jail time for the death of Chris Regan, who she was having an affair with. He went missing in 2014, and when police interviewed Cochran and her then-husband Jason, they soon realized she was in a relationship with Regan.
The case went cold until Jason also turned up dead of a heroin overdose.
Cochran told investigators she gave him a lethal overdose of the drug because she was upset with his role in Regan's death.
She told police on the night she and Jason wed, they made a "pact" to kill anyone who was previously involved with Cochran. They eventually lured Regan to their house, killed him and dismembered his body.
In the documentary titled "Dead North," Cochran's brother said he felt his sister was a serial killer, and believed she served human remains at a neighborhood barbecue, Fox 2 Detroit reported. A friend who was interviewed also said they ate a strange tasting burger at this same barbecue.
Cochran eventually led police to the site where she buried Regans body, where they found his skeletal remains and his glasses. She told investigators she has killed as many as nine other people and buried their bodies in several other areas throughout the Midwest.
Cochran is currently serving a life sentence without parole for Regans death and will serve an additional 65 years for the murder of her husband Jason.
