Nashua woman walks into home during burglary

NASHUA – Police received a report of a burglary in process from a woman who walked into her home Monday evening and allegedly found a man in her kitchen holding her television.

The homeowner gave a full description of the suspect and police, with the help of nearby video surveillance, identified and arrested Jeffrey Shepard of Nashua.

According to police, when officers arrived at Shepard's home he attempted to flee.

Shepard was charged with felony burglary and resisting arrest and faces up to 7 years in prison.
