Nashua woman arrested for allegedly cashing stolen checks

NASHUA - A 24-year-old woman was arrested Friday for allegedly cashing and depositing stolen checks into her own bank account.

According to Nashua police, Molly Merrick, of Chestnut Street, was arrested after police issued an arrest warrant in her name.

Police said Merrick deposited stolen checks in her account between August 2015 and September 2015.

Merrick has been charged with two felony counts of theft by deception and forgery.

She is expected to appear in court on Dec. 23.
