Nashua woman arrested after taking purses that belong to other women


HAMPTON — The police department arrested 41-year-old Jessica Lantagne of Nashua for receiving stolen property and false reports to law enforcement.

On Sunday, police responded to a report of a woman trying to steal a purse from another woman at the state park. Witnesses gave a description and police were able to identify and locate Lantagne.

Police confirmed that Lantagne had two bags in her possession and neither of them belonged to her. She also gave police a fake name in attempt to hide her identity.

Lantagne is held on $5,000 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in court on July 26.
