Nashua Transit System to offer bus rides to Hampton Beach on select dates this summer
NASHUA — The Nashua Transit System will be offering bus transportation to Hampton Beach on select Saturdays this summer.
The Hampton Beach Bus will transport passengers from three locations in Nashua to Hampton Beach on June 17, for the beach's annual Sand Sculpture Competition, and July 8, August 5 and September 9, for the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival.
Tickets can be purchased for $5, and NTS strongly recommends those who are interested to purchase tickets beforehand because they are anticipating high demand. Any seats still available on the day of the trip will be sold for $5, exact fare only. Tickets can be purchased Monday through Friday at the Transit Center at 30 Elm Street, Nashua, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The bus will pick-up passengers twice a day, from three different Nashua locations: the Exit 5 Park and Ride at 8:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., the Nashua Transit Center at 8:25 a.m. and 10:25 a.m., and the Exit 8 Park and Ride at 8:40 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. It will arrive at the end of D Street at 10 a.m. and noon respectively, and depart at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., returning to the same three Nashua locations in the afternoon and evening.
NTS said the bus would run regardless of the weather, but pets will not be allowed on board. They also said large carry-on items can’t block isles and may require the purchase of an additional seat.
Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and all riders must wear a shirt and shoes.
