Nashua store employee charged with faking returns, keeping the money


NASHUA - A Lowell, Mass. woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly making up false returns at the New York & Company store and keeping the money for herself.

Police charged Lacrecia Cotto, 31, of 10 Arthur Lane, with felony theft by deception.

The store reported the issue of missing money April 6 and confirmed Cotto as the suspect. An arrest warrant was then issued. The charge is punishable by up to seven years in prison.
