Nashua police seek man who approached student walking to school

NASHUA - Police are investigating a report of a man who pulled up alongside a middle school student on her way to school this morning and asked if she wanted to approach his car and pet his dog.

The girl, who was walking on Manchester Street on her way to Pennichuck Junior High School, declined and the driver left the area. The car was described as a newer midsize silver four-door sedan, and the driver was described as a white male between 30 and 40 years old with curly brown hair and a large nose. The man had a small tan dog with curly hair.

The Nashua Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding this incident or who may have been in the area at the time to contact them at 594-3500 or call the Nashua Crime Line at 603-589-1665.

Police are also urging parents to speak to their children about what to do if approached by strangers.
