A Nashua man is facing several felony charges after allegedly assaulting a woman, which resulted in a fight with her friends.
Police say that Michael Stevens, 21, punched a woman several times Sunday around 12:30 a.m. in a home before she was able to call friends. When they arrived, Stevens began fighting with them and he subsequently suffered injuries to his face and head.
During that fight, police say he was able to break free and assault the woman again by pushing her down and strangling her.
The woman was transported to a hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
After an extended investigation police filed several felony charges against Stevens for his alleged attack.
Stevens was released on $1,500 cash bail and is scheduled for arraignment Monday in the 9th Circuit Court in Nashua.
