Nashua police arrest woman for allegedly stealing jewelry from home she worked in

NASHUA - Police said they arrested a woman for stealing jewelry and other items at a home she did flooring work at.

Police charged Selina Akerman, 33 of Milford, for theft by unauthorized taking or transfer on Friday.

Police said they first responded to a home after getting a report of jewelry theft on Dec. 24, which lead to an investigation identifying Akerman as a suspect.

The total value of the missing property from the residence exceeded $1,500, resulting in a Class A felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

Akerman was released on $250 cash bail pending her arraignment on March 9.
