Nashua police arrest man accused of assaulting his ex-wife
NASHUA - Police arrested a man after they say he threatened and assaulted his ex-wife.
On Thursday around 4:30 a.m. police responded to a domestic complaint that a woman was being threatened by a man armed with a knife.
Police say the woman suffered non-life threatening injuries and declined medical help.
Javier Suarez, 47 of 24 Central Street, was arrested and charged with second degree assault- domestic violence, criminal threatening-domestic violence, class B felony, class B felony; Criminal threatening, class B felony;domestic violence, class A misdemeanor and class A misdemeanor and simple assault.
If convicted of a class B felony, Suarez could spend up to seven years in prison, exclusive of fines and up to one year in the Hillsborough County House of Corrections for a class A misdemeanor, also exclusive of fines.
He is being held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections pending his arraignment in the 9th Circuit Court, Nashua District Division on November 30.
