Nashua police arrest 2 men accused of robbing gas stations with handgun


NASHUA – Nashua police have arrested the two men they believe robbed two Nashua stores last week.

According to police, Melvin Campbell and Edgardo Gonzalez were arrested Tuesday after an investigation and several tips from people.

Melvin Campbell is accused of walking into West Hollis Street Market with a handgun last week while Edgardo Gonzalez stood watch outside.

Two nights later, the couple is suspected of robbing the Speedway Gas Station in Nashua.

Melvin Campbell was charged with two counts of robbery.

Edgardo Gonzalez, 25, was charged with one count of criminal liability.

In addition to the criminal charges, both men are being held on probation and parole violations.
