Nashua man who allegedly dangled toddler over Merrimack River indicted on separate charges

MANCHESTER - A Nashua man arrested in December for allegedly swinging his 21-month-old daughter over a safety railing on the Merrimack River has been indicted on theft and fraud charges.

Police rsay witnesses saw Matthew Jordan, 32, swing the toddler over the safety railing and leave her holding onto the rail, just above the rapid currents, while he stepped back to take a photo.

This week, a grand jury indicted him on several unrelated charges for theft and fraud based on events that happened the days before and after his arrest for endangering the welfare of a child.

Jordan faces four felony and three misdemeanor counts. He is accused of using a stolen credit card to purchase gift cards and merchandise.
