Nashua man faces theft by deception charge

NASHUA – A man was arrested last night for allegedly trying to pull a fast one at a Lowe’s store in Nashua, but employees weren’t fooled.

According to police, 28-year-old Justin Spencer, Nashua, was seen on store surveillance video taking an item off a display and then taking that same item to the customer service desk for a return without yet paying back on Jan. 6.

Spencer has two prior theft convictions, and police say his record caused them to make the charge a felony, which is punishable by up to seven years imprisonment. He is expected to be arraigned in Nashua courts Friday.
