Nashua man charged with several counts of domestic violence
NASHUA - Nashua police arrested Christopher Mainguy of Nashua early Wednesday morning after they responded to a report of a domestic dispute at his Hanover Street apartment Tuesday night.
According to a report by Nashua police, the dispute originated on Dec. 15 and Mainguy reportedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend by grabbing her wrists and damaging some of her property. Police say the argument continued into Tuesday and Mainguy reportedly grabbed his ex-girlfriend by the face and verbally threatened her while he swung a brush-axe, nearly striking the woman.
When police arrived on the scene, Mainguy was nowhere to be found. A short-while later, Mainguy was found by police and arrested without incident. The injuries the woman sustained were minor and did not require any medical attention.
Mainguy is being charged with criminal threatening, which is a Class B felony that could subject him to up to seven years in prison if convicted. Mainguy is also being charged with simple assault and criminal mischief both of which are Class A misdemeanors.
Pending his arrainment under the 9th district court in Nahsua, Mainguy's bail was set at $10,000 cash or surety.
