Nashua man arrested for DWI after fatal motorcycle accident


NASHUA – A Nashua man was arrested Sunday after police said he struck and killed a motorcyclist while driving drunk.

Romivel Cruz was driving on West Hollis Street Sunday night when he collided with a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist had severe injuries and was pronounced dead at Saint Joseph’s Hospital.

Police talked to Cruz and discovered he was impaired. Cruz was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and could face up to seven years in prison.

Cruz is currently being held on $50,000 cash bail.
