HUDSON (AP) — Police say a New Hampshire man has been charged after hitting a 15-year-old boy who was crossing the street.

Hudson police and firefighters responded to a residence around 4:00 p.m. Sunday after a report of a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian.

The teenager was treated at the scene for minor injuries and walked home on his own. He also provided police a description and plate number of the man's Subaru Forester.

The 46-year-old Nashua man, Thomas Swain, was arrested and charged with DWI and felony conduct for his role in what police are calling a hit-and-run.

He was held on $5,000 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Monday.

The accident remains under investigation.
