Nashua man accused of sex assault, choking children indicted
NASHUA - A grand jury has indicted a man accused of sexually assaulting two children and choking one of them.
Nashua Police arrested 70-year-old John Heitkamp, of 112 Tolles St., on Dec. 31 on an outstanding warrant for a slew of sexual assault charges.
The arrest came as a result of two alleged victims meeting with the Special Investigation Department on Dec. 29. Heitkampt allegedly assaulted the youths between July and October.
Heitkamp faces two charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault, special felonies, and one count of second-degree assault.
The aggravated felonious sexual assault charges each carry a punishment up to 20 years in prison. The second-degree assault charge carries a punishment of up to seven years in prison.
