Nashua gala expected to raise thousands for children
NASHUA - A Broadway-themed gala at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Saturday night was expected raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Children's Advocacy Center of Hillsborough County.
2015 marks the ninth year the annual event has been held.
The upscale dinner event raises money for the Granite State Children's Alliance, which funds investigations into alleged child abuse cases in the state.
"In past years we have raised anywhere from $250,000 to $300,000 in an evening," said Executive Director Joy Barrett. "Again, you don't get anymore dedicated people than the folks that come to this particular event. They really help our cause and really allow us to do the work that we need to do to move forward."
Among the attendees were Gov. Maggie Hassan (D), Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R) and Atty. Gen. Joseph Foster.
