Nashua fire under investigation, flames engulf home after father, 2 children leave

Cell phone video shows neighbors watching in fear as Nashua fire fighters try to knock down a late night fire on Friday.

Neighbors say the home at Oak Grove Trail belongs to a man who had left only 20 minutes before the flames broke out and luckily taking his two young children with him.

“A huge, huge fire - they were here till 2 in the morning. He didn’t get hurt he wasn’t home,” said Peg Badger, a neighbor who said she was shocked she slept thought he whole thing.

“I noticed there was a big glowing light and I came outside and i saw that my neighbor's house engulfed in flames,” said Christopher Doiron, who witnessed the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but is not considered suspicious at this time. Fire crews aren't drawing final conclusions, but it looks like the fire may have started from the outside as opposed to something from within the mobile home.

Neighbors think they have it figured out.

“Propane tanks from his grill but his grill is normally on the deck and his deck isn’t in the driveway,” said Badger.

“The video is of the propane tank blowing up. The house engulfed in flames and the power lines going down,” said Doiron.

Fire crews acknowledged that propane tanks were in the driveway, but are unaware of any explosions.

The fire is still under investigation.
