Nashua declares snow emergency for Monday

NASHUA - The Department of Public Works declared a snow emergency for the City of Nashua and has issued a parking ban.

The ban goes into effect Monday Feb. 9 at 12:01 p.m. and when the ban will be lifted is still undeteremed. The ban states there is to be no on-street parking or parking in municpal surface lot parking.

There will be free parking available in the Elm Street and High Street garages and the overnight parking program is also suspended.

Public Works said it is hard to keep the streets clear with heavy snow conditions and asks motorists to stay home, if you don't need to travel for safety purposes.

Vehicles that are left on streets or in municipal surface lots will be towed and owners can pick up vehicles for a fee of $295.00 cash.
