The Nashua Police Department's bomb disposal team investigated an item left in front of a home on Lake Street Thursday evening.
An officer wearing protective equipment and the team's robot was dispatched to get a closer look. No one was evacuated but police blocked off Lake Street between Vine Street and Pine Street while the team worked with the device.
An X-ray determined that the device was a pressure cooker, was not harmful and it was removed. The road reopened to traffic about 6:45 p.m.
