Murphy's Taproom helps raise over $3,600 for server beaten, robbed in Manchester
MANCHESTER — Murphy's Taproom has created a GoFundMe page for an employee that was assaulted and robbed, which has raised more than $3,500 so far.
Police arrested Abdiraham Malin, 22, after he attacked a woman on Thursday at about 11 p.m. Malin had struck the victim on the left side of the head. She fell to the ground and hit her head on the curb, which resulted in a large cut. Malin then grabbed her purse and ran away.
Murphy's Taproom had identified the victim as Tarah on their GoFundMe page. The creator, Keith Murphy, stated that "as a result of that attack, she has had to spend five days in the hospital recovering from a concussion. She is unable to work right away and has no way to pay her bills."
Murphy's Taproom is encouraging people to donate money so Tarah does not need to worry about funds until she can work again. The Taproom pledged to match $500 of what is raised through this effort.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the page has raised $3,698 in just 2 days.
