Multiple accidents reported; slow going on roads because of snow
New Hampshire State Police have responded to more than 50 accidents this morning from the snow.
Most of the crashes are multi-vehicle, with 3, 4 or 5 involved. Only minor injuries have been reported, police said.
The snow and cold temperatures are being blamed for the poor driving conditions and traffic backups. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation is unable to treat the roads because it's too cold, police said, so they are just plowing.
Speeds on all the highways in New Hampshire have been reduced to 45 mph.
There were multiple road closures earlier in the morning.
In Littleton, police have closed a portion of Route 302. It will be closed until about 1 p.m. while crews work to clean up an accident.
NH1 News has crews out across the state and will post updates as we receive them.
