Motorcyclist injured after he was rear-ended in Rochester

ROCHESTER - A motorcyclist riding on Route 125 was rear-ended late Sunday morning but suffered only non life-threatening injuries in the crash.

According to police Arthur Greenlay, 30, of Rochester, was heading north on Gonic Road (Route 125) just north of Flagg Road when he slowed abruptly. A car driven by Roland Letourneau, 29, of Barrington, was also traveling north just behind the motorcycle and hit him from behind.

Greenlay was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital. He also received a summons for operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle endorsement on his license. Letourneau was not injured.

The road was closed to one lane of traffic as police were investigating, triggering heavy traffic delays in both directions, police said.
