HUDSON — A motorcyclist was flown to the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle in town Sunday.
Police say Daniel Boucher, 61, was driving a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle north on Lowell Road about 4 p.m. Margaret Larocque, 85, was driving a 2003 Toyota RAV SUV in the opposite direction. When she approached the entrance to the Market Basket, police say she turned left and into the path of Boucher and his motorcycle, colliding in the northbound lane.
Boucher, who was wearing a helmet, was airlifted to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston from a landing zone set up at St. Kathryn's Church in Hudson. The extent of his injuries are unknown.
Larocque was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua for evaluation. Her vehicle was moderately damaged and the motorcycle was heavily damaged.
Police closed the road around the scene while they gathered evidence Sunday. The cause is still under investigation.
