Motorcycle Week thrives rain or shine

LACONIA- After a beautiful, busy weekend, Motorcycle Week in Laconia saw a slower, rainy Monday.

Many take a whole week off to travel to New Hampshire for the rally, so a little rain isn't going to keep them cooped up in their hotel. "Tent City" down at the Weirs was still full of people checking out the biker build-off and listening to the live music.

The American Police Motorcycle Museum in Meredith had a steady flow of patrons all day as riders looked for an indoor attraction. The museum has 84 motorcycles dating back to 1904.

Doug Frederick has been collecting motorcycles for decades and builds and restores some of his own. Frederick and his wife own the museum, they say they're only allowed to keep it open because of the money they make during Bike Week.

Tuesday is Veteran's Day at the museum, veteran's and active duty military will get in for half-price.
