Motorcycle driver airlifted after Laconia bike crash


LACONIA - A crash involving two motorcycles sent one of the drivers to the hospital by helicopter.

Police responded to a crash involving two Harley Davidson motorcycles at the intersection of Rollercoaster and Parade Roads in Laconia on Friday, around 10:30 a.m.

Police said the driver of the 2010 Harley Davidson, a 57-year-old man, crashed into a 2011 Harvey Davidson motorcycled that was operated by his friend, Nicholas Stimac of Waterford Connecticut.

The man suffered a head injury and was airlifted by DART to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital.

Police are not releasing his name until the family is notified and is asking anyone with information to call Laconia police at 524-5252.
