DERRY - Police say the family of a 15-year-old girl missing since Saturday found her, only to lose her again.
Taylor Lee Hovasse was spotted by family members in a Manchester neighborhood, police said, but she disappeared before they could make contact, according to her mother, Sara Hovasse. Hovasse says she does not believe her daughter ever saw her.
Hovasse said she was in the back of a car with tinted windows when she spotted her daughter heading on foot in the opposite direction. By the time the car was able to turn around, the girl had disappeared, she said.
She left on Saturday to go for a walk or play basketball, but she never came back, her family said. She is suspected to be "with an ex-boyfriend whom she was to not have contact with."
Derry police are working with Hovasse’s family and the Manchester police in an effort to bring her home.
They've created the hashtag, #comehometaylorlee to help spread the word.
