KEENE – A mother was arrested Thursday after the Keene Police Department investigated a report of possible child abuse.

Miranda Baillargeon of Viroque, Wisconsin, has been charged with First Degree assault on her six-month-old son. Baillargeon allegedly grabbed her child by the head and threw him to the ground, causing the infant to suffer a skull fracture.

Baillargeon was arraigned before the 8th Circuit Keene Court and held because she did not produce the $50,000 cash bail.
