More than half a million pounds of chicken products pulled from shelves


CONCORD – A serious food recall is in effect for Aspen Foods that produce frozen, raw, stuffed and breaded chicken products.

According to USDA.Gov, Aspen Foods is recalling approximately 561,000 pounds of chicken products that appear to be ready-to-eat, due to possible salmonella contamination.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced the recall today.

Consumers who has purchased these products are urged not to consume them and should be returned to the place of purchase.

If the product is in the house, the Food and Safety Inspection Service urges careful handling to avoid cross-contmaination.
