More than 1,000 left without power, internet after Pembroke rollover crash


PEMBROKE - A car accident has cost more than a thousand nearby residents without power.

The rollover crash happened in Pembroke near Pembroke Academy early Tuesday afternoon. Eversource said more than 1,000 residents were without power.

The vehicle smashed into an electrical pole near the school. The crash shut down a portion of Academy Road near Route 3 while crews worked to clean up the scene and return power, internet, and cable to residents.

The cause of the crash has not yet been identified. Police and utility crews were on scene.

There's no word yet on any injuries.
