More open houses set for pipeline project discussion

MILFORD — A company proposing a natural gas pipeline that would run through New Hampshire is holding more public meetings about the project.
Kinder Morgan officials have made dozens of presentations and held half a dozen open houses in communities that would be affected by the project, which is designed to bring gas from shale fields in Pennsylvania and New York. The pipeline would span 71 miles of southern New Hampshire.
After holding meetings in New Ipswich and Fitzwilliam last week, the company will hold open houses in Milford on Tuesday night, Salem on Wednesday and Merrimack on Thursday.
Kinder Morgan hopes to break ground in January 2017 and operate the pipeline by late 2018.
