Money prizes offered for creation of video ads opposing Kinder Morgan pipeline
MASON - A total of $10,000 in prize money is being offered by opponents of a proposed natural gas pipeline for video ads that make a case against the pipeline.
The Mason Pipeline Committee, which opposes the Kinder Morgan Northeast Energy Direct pipeline proposed for the southern part of the state, is offering $3,000 for a first prize video, two $2,000 second prizes and three $1,000 third prizes, according to a news release.
The ad contest is open to anyone who creates a video ad with the overall theme of "The Northeast Energy Direct (NED) pipeline is the worst choice for New England," the release states.
Entrants will have two months to create their ads and submit them for judging. To enter the contest, visit nhpipelineawareness.org/mpc-video-contest/. Rules are listed there for creating and submitting a video.
