Missing NH man with dementia found walking home after ATV gets stuck on trail
CANTERBURY — An elderly man with dementia was found walking back home after going missing on Thursday afternoon.
An officer with New Hampshire Fish and Game responded to Canterbury around 9 p.m. Thursday night after receiving a report of a missing man from Canterbury police.
Phil Stone, 79, left his home in Canterbury on his four-wheeler at around 4:30 p.m. and had not returned, according to police.
Stone was found by a search team at 9:50 p.m. about half a mile from his home. Stone said that his four-wheeler had gotten stuck and he was on his way home when he was found.
He did not need any medical attention and returned home shortly after being located.
