Police say 47-year-old Craig Vanier was driving on Route 102 Saturday afternoon when his car crossed into oncoming traffic, striking a minivan, and pushing it into another vehicle.

John McMahon, 65 of Windham, died in the crash, and Susan McMahon was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Gracie has been found and is safe at home.

Granite State Dog Recovery, which helps reunite dogs with their owners, said a Derry family found Gracie - a golden retriever that was also in the minivan - her in their yard.

Vanier has been charged with driving under the influence

A phone listing for him was not available Sunday. It was unclear if he has an attorney.
