Missing Canadian found dead on Mount Washington

The body of a missing Canadian man missing for almost a month was found Saturday off a trail near Tuckerman's Ravine on Mount Washington.

Francois Carrier, 47, of Drummondville, Quebec, was reported missing May 12 when he did not return home from a trip to the Mount Washington area. There were several reports of him being seen May 9 near the Pinkham Notch area. Searchers combed that area for five days with dogs, a helicopter and numerous searchers.

New Hampshire Fish and Game lead a team of 25 to the location of the body Saturday. An autopsy is being conducted to determine a cause of death.
