Milford man sentenced to 51 months behind bars after robbing a bank in Stratham

CONCORD — A Milford man has been sentenced to 51 months behind bars after robbing a Citizens Bank inside a Shaw's Supermarket in Stratham.

Seamus Murphy, 34 of Milford, walked into the grocery store at 100 Shaw's Lane around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 24, 2015 and gave the teller a note demanding money. The teller then gave Murphy a quantity of cash, and surveillance cameras captured images of the robbery.

Numerous people identified Murphy for police after seeing the photos, and they found him in a room at the Motel 6 in Tewksbury, Mass. the next day where they arrested him.

The Court has ordered Murphy a term of 51 months in prison, three years of supervised release and full restitution to the bank.
