Milford High School evacuated after partial roof collapse

MILFORD - Milford High School was evacuated Friday morning after a partial roof collapse.

Officials said in a news conference that a ceiling over a classroom fell 3 to 4 inches. They said one classroom was impacted. Students were able to gather their things and walk to the middle school nearby. There were no injuries.

School officials say they have been in touch with a contractor who plans to clear the roof next week during school vacation. Officials expect that by the time school resumes one week from Monday, the ceiling should be repaired.
