Merrimack River drowning victim in Manchester identified as homeless man from NC

MANCHESTER - The body of man who tried to swim across the Merrimack River on Monday has been identified.

N.H. Fish and Game Department divers recovered the body of Torin Brown near the Queen City Bridge in Manchester on Tuesday.

Brown, 34 of North Carolina, was reportedly homeless.

Foul play is not suspected and the incident continues to be investigated by N.H. Marine Patrol.
