Merrimack police arrest Nashua woman for attempted robbery

MERRIMACK - Police said a Nashua woman tried to rob Jia's Market on Sunday.

Katie Ann Emery, 39, of 15 Railroad Square, Apt. 8, has been charged with attempted robbery, a felony, and breach of bail conditions.

Police said a clerk at Jia's, at 4 Amherst Road, told them a woman entered the store on Sunday and demanded cash.

The clerk refused and the female left the store.

Police posted photos and the surveillence video on their Facebook page in an attempt to identify the woman.
Police received several anonymous tips indicating that the female was Emery and issued a warrant for her arrest.

Emery is being held on $10,000 cash bail and is scheduled to appear in Merrimack district court on Feb. 9.
