Merrimack McGaw Bridge celebrating opening ceremony and ribbon cutting

MERRIMACK — The Department of Public Works has announced a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of the McGaw Bridge Road bridge in Merrimack on Thursday at about 2 p.m.

The event is open to the public. The celebration will include a history of the former McGaw Bridge.

Construction for the replacement of the McGaw Bridge Road bridge began in January.

The $1.6M project replaced the existing historic bridge that was constructed in 1915.
