Meredith yet to receive absentee ballots for upcoming election; running out of time

MEREDITH — Absentee ballots were expected to be out by Sept. 13 for the upcoming general election, but Meredith is yet to receive these ballots.

This has been a problem in the past. They were not back in time for the last general election.

If the military needs an absentee ballot, there will not be enough time for it to count. Meredith confirms this is the case.

The Secretary of State's office has not sent the ballots to the towns yet. Residents are concerned those out of state won't be able to return ballots in time.
