Medical marijuana cultivation site in Peterborough given NH approval to produce cannabis
PETERBOROUGH — A medical marijuana cultivation site in Peterborough has been approved by the NH Department of Health and Human Services to begin growing and producing therapeutic cannabis products.
The state agency issued an unconditional registration certificate that allows Prime Alternative Treatment Centers to cultivate cannabis, produce products, package them and dispense them at its dispensary in Merrimack, Health and Human Services spokesman Jake Leon.
This certificate was granted a week after state health department personnel inspected the Peterborough cultivation facility on Oct. 7. This inspection deemed the facility to be in compliance with provisions of New Hampshire's therapeutic cannabis program, Leon said.
