Matthew Dion to be arraigned Friday in NH court via video

The Associated Press

MANCHESTER (AP) — A man charged with killing his parents and setting fire to the house they shared is due in court in New Hampshire for the first time after more than 15 months on the run.

Court officials say 39-year-old Matthew Dion will be arraigned Friday in Manchester District Court via a video relay from jail.

Dion was apprehended in Florida June 3 after a manhunt that put him on the U.S. Marshals Service's most wanted list.

He is charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of 71-year-old Robert Dion and 67-year-old Constance Dion in March 2014. Prosecutors say he also set their house on fire.

He was arrested after a recent media campaign generated tips in Georgia and Florida.
