Matt Bonner's foundation renovates basketball court in Manchester to honor family friend

NH1 News

MANCHESTER - The basketball courts renovations on Beech street are finally finished.

The project was in honor of Sam Carey, a former student of Southern New Hampshire University who died in a car crash in 2011. Good friends Luke and Matt Bonner of Concord were inspired and started the Rock on Foundation, which funded the project.

A huge turn out for the ribbon cutting turned out to be a lot of fun for kids in the city as well. In addition to meeting Matt Bonner who now plays for on the NBA team, the San Antonio Spurs, Lucky, from the Boston Celtics, showed off some tricks as well.

Luke Bonner looks forward to maintaining and playing on the court with hopes to have a summer league set up by next year.
