Crack Cocaine, Guns Found in Massachusetts Home Investigation, Police Say
LOWELL, Mass. — Police arrested two Lowell residents Friday on drug and gun charges.
Sean Fenton, 32, and Katheria Santos, 28, both of Lowell, were arrested at their home during the search warrant investigation.
The search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of narcotics at that location. During the search, detectives found a loaded 9mm Beretta handgun containing 10 9mm rounds of ammunition, 19 grams of heroin, 4.5 grams of crack cocaine packaged in small bags, over $1,400 in cash, and other items consistent with the distribution of narcotics, police said.
The handgun had been reported as stolen during a home break-in in Lowell in 2013.
Fenton and Santos have been charged with trafficking in heroin over 18 grams, unlawful possession of a class B controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a large capacity firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, improper storage of a firearm, and unlawful possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Fenton was additionally charged with a warrant from Haverhill District Court for trafficking in heroin and a warrant from Lawrence District Court for firearms violations.
Fenton and Santos were expected to be arraigned in Lowell District Court on Friday.
Inspectors from the City of Lowell Development Services Division will visit the property Friday in conjunction with the Drug Abatement Response Team program to ensure the home is in compliance with health and building codes.
